Kensho Kuma - Japanese American MC from Berkeley, CA. Kuma was born in Yokohama, Japan, and was raised in the Bay Area; he has been actively recording and performing since ’97 and credits his ability and education to the local independent Bay Area Hip Hop scene. Kuma is a bilingual lyricist, able to flow in English and in Japanese; he has explored Asia thoroughly on multiple ventures, and has lived, worked, and performed throughout mainland China, and motherland Japan; he can rightfully claim Tokyo, Chengdu, and Shanghai, to be his second homes. Kuma marked his debut on the Catacombs compilation in 1999, and has been featured on numerous global releases over the past decade. Kuma released his debut album, Rewritten Code ov Honor in 2006, and the project was nationally distributed throughout Japan. Since then, he has been developing his Japanese flow to be at the caliber of his English flow; he recently completed his bilingual second album, Projekt Life Force, and it is scheduled to be released late December from Wenod Label in Tokyo. Projekt Life Force approximately took four and a half years to complete and accurately presents Kensho Kuma’s highly disciplined writing ability, flawless delivery, and perfectionism. Kuma continues to promote the global preservation, education, and dominance of Hip Hop culture.

カリフォルニア州バークレー在住の日系アメリカ人MC。生まれは横浜、その後はベイエリアで育つ。英語と日本語でラップをするバイリンガルMC。アーティストとして本格的に活動を始めたのは1997年で、それ以降音源製作やライブなどを勢力的に活動する。母 国である日本以外にも中国やアジア諸国を渡り歩き、各地で生活し仕事をしながら、ライブ・パフォーマンスを重ねてきた。自ら東京、成都、上海を第2の故郷と断言する。1999年にリリースされたコンピレーション "Catacombs (カタコームス)" に楽曲を提供しデビューを飾る。以降10年以上に渡り、世 界中の数多くのリリースに参加。2006年にはソロ・デビュー・アルバム "Rewritten Code ov Honor (リリトゥン・コード・オブ・オナー)" をリリースし、日本から世界へ向けて流通された。その後、日本語のフロウを英語でのフロウの力量に近 づけるべく、進化を遂げてきた。そして待望のセカンド・アルバム "Projekt Life Force (プロジェクト・ライフ・フォース)" が完成!! 今作も日本語と英語にラップを堪能出来るバイリンガル作品で、製作期間になんと4年半を費やした力作。世界規模でのヒップホップ文化 の維持、保存と教育をプロモートすべく、奔走している。
